About the event
The National Birth Coalition is partnering with BirthWise Doula Services and Jace’s Journey to host an event titled, “The State of Maternal Health in North Carolina.” This Think BabiesTM listening session with parents of children ages 0-3 in your area will highlight what babies—and families—in Charlotte, NC need to thrive. Giving all babies a strong start in life yields significant returns in the long run through more years of education, more employment, and better health as an adult. We need policymakers to Think Babies—for stronger families, vibrant communities, and a prosperous country and future.
We would love to invite you to join us to hear directly from parents in your district about the challenges that they face as parents of young children and about the programs and services that support them. You would be coming together with a diverse and inclusive range of birthing parents, birth workers, and birth advocates. They will share accounts of their experiences during pregnancy, labor and delivery and postpartum care. The listening session will be held on Thursday August 18th beginning at 6:00pm at The Project 658 Center.
